From What’s HapPINing Blog: Here is a look at the pin-of-the-month series that will be available in 2011 at Walt Disney World® Resort:   This pin-of-the-month series highlights some of the most popular attractions at Walt Disney World® Resort. Each pin includes a character on a clear slider which can be moved off of the background, much like an animation cel.   It’s hard to believe that the 40th anniversary of Walt Disney World® is rapidly approaching. This retro pin series in inspired by artwork from the 1970s and features the Disney characters with Walt Disney World® icons.   Similar to the Disneyland® “D” series, Walt Disney World® will also have a series based on the famous “D” from the original Walt Disney World® Resort logo. Each month will feature different characters, with the first being Donald and his nephews.

From What’s HapPINing Blog: We’d like to show everyone a sneak peek at a great mystery set that will be released next year in honor of the 40th anniversary of Walt Disney World® Resort:   This will be among the many items available with these designs as many of our merchandise partners will be getting in the 40th spirit as well. From What’s HapPINing Blog: We feel fall is finally in the air. It’s a beautiful Monday here and we hope the same for you.Following the updates about the 10-10-10 Event, we wanted to clarify a few things: Wristbands will be distributed starting at 7:00 a.m. They will be valid until 11:00 a.m. If any items are remaining after that time, they will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis. Guests can bring Vinylmation™ Figures to the event. Unfortunately, we will not be providing trading opportunities from the open or mystery trade boxes. How many of you made it to the Epcot® International Food and Wine Festival this past weekend? Yum, yum! We thought you’d enjoy this sneak preview of some new “two-on-a-card” pins. They look so good that we could eat them, especially that donut (though we do not advise eating them). They will be open edition pins coming in Spring 2011.  

From What’s HapPINing Blog: Some days we wish we were sailing on the Disney Cruise Line®. Either ship would be fine. Wouldn’t it be great to be able to blog from the sea? Since we don’t think that will happen anytime soon, we thought we’d share a glimpse into a special pin of the month collection coming to Disney Cruise Line® next year. It is something we are calling the “Anchor Series” We’re guessing you can figure out why.   There will be 12 pins in the collection and each will have an edition size of 750. In other news, some of you may be asking about the upcoming 10-10-10 Event in Florida and the Pin Pursuit that will take place in California. At today’s Trade City USA Town Hall Meeting, Steven Miller showed and announced some pin news for the upcoming year. Here is just a taste with previews in pictures. Be sure to listen to the upcoming Disney Pincast podcast for a full audio/visual presentation from the event. First up, 101010 Preview/Announcement of Festivities. In Walt Disney World, the 10 hours of trading will begin at 10:10 on October 10th in the Yacht and Beach Club Convention Center, and will end at 8:10, there will be new pins being released at the ‘event’, though it is more like a Disney Trading Night. While in Disneyland Resort, guests can participate in a Pin Pursuit on October 10th. Next, Steven begins to talk about the new year’s Pin of the Month Series, he starts off with Disneyland Resort, and the shared Tinkerbell ‘birthstone’ keys, that will be in both WDW and DLR, the pins will also be avalible [...]
